T&T FA ordered to pay players

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC): A Trinidad & Tobago High Court judge has ordered the T&T Football Federation (T&TFF) to make an interim payment of US$1 million to aggrieved players on the 2006 World Cup squad.
The ruling stems from a long-running legal battle between the players and the T&TFF over match and bonus payments accrued from the team's performance during Germany 2006.
Justice Devindra Rampersad also complained about the inadequate way in which the T&TFF's accounts were presented to the courts.
"I have great issue with the accounts filed, and I feel there has been no compliance with the precedent set out," said Rampersad. "It is totally unaccountable.
"I find it strange. I have one document from FIFA. Why do we not have a final letter from FIFA and Adidas saying this is how much we paid? Lucky or unlucky for you, I have some experience in the accounting field."
