Bob Marley One Love, CelebOlympics at Stadium East

The Digicel One Love Bob Marley celebrity football matches and CelebOlympics will get under way at the National Stadium East field at 1 p.m. today, with plenty of holiday entertainment expected for patrons.
Activities will include two football games - a Masters vs Celebrities match and Media vs Sponsors game - along with a few track and field activities, which will include two 100m sprints and relays.
Reggae Boyz head coach and former midfield maestro, Theodore Whitmore, will provide an added bonus for patrons as he confirmed his participation yesterday.
Notable names
Alongside Whitmore will be a few other notable names, including former West Indies cricketers Jimmy Adams, Courtney Walsh and Gus Logie, facing off against entertainers Elephant Man, Aidonia, Lukie D and Chris Martin. The curtain-raiser will be the Media vs Celebrity game.
A corporate sprint showdown will see Carlene Edwards, Supreme Ventures, Safia Cooper, Red Stripe, and Tshani Jaja of Digicel, battle for the female crown.
In the men's equivalent, Chris Vendreyes of NCB will be looking to defend his crown against Julian Patrick, also from NCB, Richard McGhie of Digicel and Oliver Mair of Reggae Jammin.
In a promoters 4x100m relay showdown Absinthe will challenge Musique, SRR Entertainment, Barcode and Lawless Events.
Proceeds of the event will benefit the Best Care Children's Home and the Mustard Seed Communities and other basic schools.
