Sunday, January 23, started cloudy with a slight drizzle but turned out quite beautiful. It was the perfect setting for Egerton Chang's 60th birthday party. Guests started to arrive by 4:30 p.m. and received cups of hot mannish water, or an assortment of beverages and some good conversation to get the party started. Burgers were next on the menu while the band, Strings and Steel, a birthday gift from Edison Chai, provided excellent entertainment.

After the scrumptious buffet dinner catered by Exclusive Party Rentals, the birthday cake was cut by the birthday celebrant, his vivacious wife, Margaret, and their large brood after greetings were received via video link with Toronto from Egerton Jr and Bianca, two of Egerton's children who are attending universities there.

Eight o'clock was party time with the sounds of music by Craig Ross, the 'Young Lion'. The dancing was lively and energetic and continued past midnight. Monsignor Mock Ken and Frs Ryan, Kong and Lee, who blessed the party, ensured that everything was above board.
