Big Ship, in association with Tru-Juice, staged a successful show dubbed Tunn Up St Catherine, with an energy-filled night at Dinthill Technnical High School last Friday.

The Big Ship crew kept the fairly large crowd busy as flag bearers Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor and Chino had the audience singing to all their songs. Chino kept the ladies warm on a cool, early Saturday morning with tunes such as Pon Yuh Head, Rave All Night, Ruff It Up, Mus Come Back, Phone Gallis and From Mawnin. Di genius joined Chino onstage and the duo impacted with songs such as Protected, Cyaan Fren Again, Naw Forgive Dem, Tunn It Up An Done, Cyaan tek wi Life.

However, they weren't the only ones whose performances were energy filled. Future Fambo had the crowd going wild with his energy-packed set. The crowd went crazy as he did Rum and Red Bull, Never Sober and This Life. Big Ship artiste Laden gave fans a treat with popular numbers such as Money Ova War, Own Ina Life, Working Hard and rounded off a good stint with Time To Shine. Veteran dancehall acts, Mr Easy and Frisco Kid, did a cameo much to the delight of the crowd.

Meanwhile, Kiprich and Alozade came on near the end and kept the tempo high. Kiprich addressed the 'bleaching' issue and also commented on the guilty verdict which was passed on Buju Banton in his social-commentary packed set. Alozade did some of his former hits.

The CEO and veteran singer of Big Ship Freddie McGregor had the ladies clamouring for more. Songs from his catalogue of hits included Push Comes to Shove, Stop Loving You, Big Ship, So I Will Wait for You and others. Beenie Man made a late but pleasing entry to the show. The 'Doctor', though hampered due to a recent operation, still was able to hit the right notes with fans in a slew of hits. In between the early acts and star performers, George Nooks connected with Zion Gates, Tribal War and God is Standing By, among others. Ken Boothe had the women singing along with hits such as Puppet On A String and others. Tinga Stewart turned back time with former household favourites, Cover Me, Inside my Heart and others.

Other performers who impacted included female DJ, Timberlee, with Bubble Like Soup, singing sensation Denyque, Bramma and Chi Ching Ching, who was especially loved by the audience as he did his theatrics. DJ Tnez also had a creditable showing as did female DJ Keida. Young Umar ignited the audience with his oldies hit, Downtown, during the opening performances.
