Music events dominated the scene during the weekend

TUESDAYTALK

1. Flush them out!

Who can forget the furore over the army boss with American citizenship? He was ousted and was forced to give it up. Even from those days, there were duals in the House and in other sensitive public and security positions, but no one cared about it then. With the general commotion these days about dual citizens, let's hope there will be a purging of ALL institutions - for there are many of them around. And don't forget that an American passport is renewable.

2. No phone chats

Many are so terrified to have a conversation on the phone these days - i.e. not sure who is eavesdropping - they are opting for open spaces. Ever wondered why the walking trails are so popular these days?

3. Fun outside!

It was not the kind of news the old guy wanted to hear from his trophy wife. But she told him anyway, "Honey, you can go right ahead and have fun outside of the home, I really don't mind." He is still not sure what to make of that kind of benevolence.

4. School's out

The friends have been enquiring about the neighbourhood scholar who had gone abroad to qualify as a medic. Suddenly he is home and not yet graduated. The word on the street is that the obligations could not be met this semester. In plain language, that means the parents are broke, hit by the hard times. Well they are certainly not alone.

5. Cash is it!

Speaking of hard times. The socialite could not care less what others want to say about her man's sexuality. She assures them that she is well taken care of and her credit-card balance is substantial, for to her, that is all that matters in the end.
