The stars came out on Monday for the 21st staging of the Actor Boy Awards. We have some of the highlights.

Thursday talk

Under oath

1. Question of the Week: "Can you imagine, if her were not, under oath?"

Taxes all the way

2. Some say while some point fingers, and rightly so, to the cost of fuel as one of the major factors retarding growth and development in the country, others are saying do not overlook taxes. What they say, for example, is that anywhere between 30 and 40 per cent of the cost of a new home is taxes. They say that taxes are not only making ownership prohibitive, they are strangling potential new developments, as there is multiple repeat taxation every step of the way!

What's the case?

3. For many associated with the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, the question is: Can the person now fly out of the country?

Gone underground?

4. Some are asking if she has now gone underground, or just told to take a back seat, as she has been noticeably absent from her usual haunts and especially a number of high-profile photo-ops recently.

No high-end ones

5. When all the creditors came calling, all they found was an empty house; none of the high-end automobiles, and certainly none of the art.

What's happening?

6. Stories doing the rounds make mention of many Government properties, automobiles and real estate which are mysteriously disappearing from the books!

Embrace the top one

7. Some political observers are pointing to what they say is a political stalemate within the governing JLP. They say some party officers have lined up on one side, seeking the resignation of the top one. But they say the position is, if he is faced with a challenge, he will call general elections. Fearing the weakness of their position, they have opted to keep the challenge at bay; so both sides hobble along in a marriage of inconvenience.
