Orchard Juice Drink: a colourful introduction

As the hot months of the year loom on the horizon, Nestlé Jamaica Limited has now added another alternative for thirsty palates. It is the Trinidad-manufactured Orchard line of juices, and they were unveiled in a colourful display at the Poolside Pavilion at the Terra Nova All Suite hotel in St Andrew last Friday.

The theme depicted a fruit orchard with barrels of fresh oranges and tables with centrepieces of a variety of fresh fruits, and the wait staff and hostesses wore designer farm-girl costumes, complete with straw hats.

There was no mistaking the brand of the moment. The hotel's poolside had more than enough bars amply stocked for guests to taste the juices/ drinks individually or to mix with their favourite brew. The attractive and colourful boxes are easy-to-open, re-sealable Tetra-Pak, to protect the contents from heat and light. The smaller boxes are convenient to carry around, and will be a hit with the children's lunch boxes.

James Rawle, regional manager for Nestlé, thanked everyone for attending, and his team for doing a great job of showcasing the new product. "Orchard is a strong brand, and all the juices taste good, smell good and mix well."

A very happy consumer marketing manager for beverages, Suzanne Wilson-Wong, said the range of drinks meets the need for good-quality juices and drinks in convenient sizes for the entire family. "The addition of the Orchard range serves to strengthen Nestlé's juice portfolio, joining the Juicy Juice brands. Orchard is made with the discerning mom and dad in mind, resulting in great taste for your children and affordable quality for you," Wilson-Wong said.

The Orchard Juice Drinks that are now on the market are: orange, apple, apple cherry and grapefruit drink. There are two Orchard Juices: grapefruit and orange juice. The Orchard Punches are: fruit, tropical and paradise punch. The approximate retail prices for the range of drinks are as follows: 250ml. costs $47; 1 Litre costs $154 and the 1-Litre Juice Drinks cost $197. And guests got to take home a sample of the drink.
