Assassin, aka Agent Sasco, the latest to join smaller venues

Studio 38 continues its walk on the wild side

Agent Sasco, more popularly known as Assassin, will bring his special dancehall brand to Studio 38 tonight.

While very popular in the traditional dancehall sense, Assassin brings a lot more to the genre - tremendous talent, entrepreneurship and a style and philosophy that makes him a role model for many. Assassin now becomes a part of the tradition of ska, reggae, rocksteady and dancehall greats who have appeared at Studio 38 in the last 15 months.

Gregory Isaacs, Beres Hammond, Mavado, Tarrus Riley, Freddie McGregor, John Holt, Tami Chynn, Uroy, Tanya Stephens, Lady Saw, Tessanne Chin, Ken Boothe, Yellowman, and Pinchers are just some of the acts Assassin will have to follow.

To the world he is 'Assassin', the hip, happening and top-of-the charts dancehall wonder.

To his credit, he recently headlined numerous sold-out performances in North America and the Caribbean. Lately, he has enjoyed several chart-topping hits.

The highly popular, dancehall star is not only just about high-energy entertainment performances, but he is also serious about entrepreneurship, having formed a production and A&M company to manage Jamaican musical talents. Assassin is also a scholar. A graduate of Camperdown High School, he received a scholarship to pursue Business Management studies at Sunderland University and appeared to have done an excellent balancing act with studies and stage performances.
