Scotia Private Client, Bin 26 hunt title

The final of the Scotia Private Client Group-sponsored Jamaica Open Polo Tournament takes place this afternoon with Bin 26 opposing the Scotia Private Client team at the Kingston Polo Club, Caymanas Estates, starting at 3:30.

Prior to the final, the losing semi-finalists, American Airlines and Pegasus, meet in the consolation final at 2:30 p.m. Both matches will be played over four chukkas.

On Thursday at Caymanas Estates, Bin 26 advanced to the final following their impressive 9-5 victory over Pegasus. In contrast, the Scotia Private Client team had to fight tooth and nail to clip the American Airlines team 5-4 in extra time, to earn their berth.

The Bin 26 team comprises the visiting English pro Jamie Le Hardy, Craig Russell, Sam Wates and the island's top female player, Lesley Ann Fong-Yee.

Paul Lalor, Mitta Rousseau, Mark Wates and the resident Argentinean professional, Jorge Donovan, will form the Scotia Private Client team.

For the consolation final, the Pegasus team comprises John G. Byles, Mark Melville, Jordon Samuda and the Argentinean pro, Jose Lartirigoyen, while the American Airlines team encompasses mining and energy minister, James Robertson, Adam Laing, young Jason Wates and the Argentinean pro, Tomas Gandara.
