WESTERN BUREAU:

Finally, Montego Bay has made giant steps in the direction of a real men's boutique with the opening of Déjà Vu Men's by the fashion couple Rajesh and Neha Kripalani at Shoppes at Rose Hall.

Déjà Vu Men's has joined the other two stores operated under the Kripalani's Indo-Western fashion brands, Déjà Vu and Rendezvous, specialising in ladies' fashion and duty-free, respectively.

Their latest venture is being hailed by Montegonians as filling the void that has been a cry for men in tourism capital.

The Kripalanis unveiled a number of international brands such as Stone Rose, Robert Graham, Tori Richards, Tullianio, Adriano Goldschmied jeans, Mezalan shoes to complement an exciting team of local designers, including Bill Edwards and Pablo Palair.

"We are one of the first all men's store in Montego Bay that caters to locals and tourists," said a proud Rajesh Kripalani as he welcomed family and friends who flew in from as far as India, the United States of America, Mexico and Barbados to support milestone achievement.

With the renowned event planner Weston Haughton at the control, Déjà Vu Men's engaged guests in some high fashion and contemporary pieces that rocked Shoppes at Rose Hall, which is fast becoming the event venue of the city.

Those who turned out enjoyed Appleton Jamaica Rum blends, paired with Robbie Joseph's Seahorse Grill's shrimp and chicken kebabs, complemented by jazz great, Fitzroy 'Saxy' Minott on the saxophone.

Amid the beautiful decor that graced the area, some of Montego Bay's most fabulous fashionistas were in tow, including Metty Scarlett-Jones, Denise and Harold Williams, Nasha Douglas, who seems to have received city status, Howard and Veronica Ward, Sherika Dare and Paulette Tai, Indru and Jyoti Dadlani, Suzette Brown and Aceion Cunningham, Denny Chandiram, Kumar Samtani, Kishim and Shobhu Samtani and Denise Clarke.
