ONLINE FEEDBACK
Below is feedback from online readers to yesterday's editorial in The Gleaner, 'Gangs of Gordon House party to expropriation of property'.
Gleaner's epiphany
If it is only tentatively, The Gleaner, as a member of the fourth estate, has started to conduct itself in a manner that will result in the Jamaican public definitely taking notice of its new-found advocacy, perspectives and sentiments - on the part of the editor - as to what really and significantly constitutes the two major Jamaican political parties. It is quite refreshing and invigorating to see The Gleaner, at least in the last several editorials, trying to be a vanguard or exhibiting some semblance of leadership as opposed to the constant fawning and cowering in the background. With respect to yesterday's editorial by The Gleaner, one can only characterise same as being brilliantly informative and extremely instructive regarding the expropriation of property by the Gordon House Gangs. Mr Editor, please continue to talk "di tings dem". Enjoy the EPIPHANY!

Demonstrate against bad government
The best way to stop bad government practices, be it taxes, high gas prices, bad treatment, etc, is for the people of Jamaica to get organised and go in front of Gordon House and demonstrate. I didn't say the streets of Kingston, I said Gordon House! Those guys don't read the morning papers or listen to the news. They are so mighty proud of themselves that they hardly realise how they became politicians. So, to remind them of what the people are going through, always take it to Gordon House. If you are charged for demonstrating at Gordon House, remind the judge you have a right to do so. Also, you are protected under the Constitution or the Charter of Rghts. It's about time the people of Jamaica start demanding accountability from the people they put in public office.

Taxpayers' rights
This is very timely. Very few entities/individuals speak out about the rights of taxpayers under the law. It is not a one-way street, and justice demands fairness.

Keep people's business on front burner
Dear Mr Editor, thank you for your continued focus on the Gordon House gangs. We the people of Jamaica need you to continue to keep our needs on the front burner. For example, why is it that the workers, and by this I mean the people at the bottom of the pile, are not being protected by the these gangs from exploitative employers and their managers. The hotel industry is akin to slave labour. My heart bleeds for these workers who are expected to wear a smile and serve the tourist in a professional manner, but they, the workers are not being served by their employers or the Government who should be safeguarding the rights and diginity of the Jamaican people.
