All the British royal fans are trying to get the best position for the grand wedding, and we have more of the fun from Beach J'ouvert.

Thursdaytalk

In the ring!

1. Word is, one of the participants was so disturbed by the information that was unearthed that he has decided he cannot stand on the sidelines any longer. He has now decided to enter the political fray, on the side of the Opposition.

Where are the pumps?

2. Some motorists are asking for the Bureau of Standards to stage an intervention into the operations of service stations across the island, as they say there are far too many operating without the basic concerns for motorists. They point to the fact that the majority of service stations around the city are without air-pumps, as a sign of this neglect!

Florida popular

3. A few more of the politically connected ones have made a few more 'just-in-case' purchases - the purchases being homes in Florida, just in case!

Affair in the open!

4. When the Kingston businessman, his wife and his girlfriend turned up at the entertainment event, some saw it as a way of making the suspected extra-marital union official. Friends are not so sure, they say the best way to hide something is to keep it in the open!

Growing tired, very tired

5. Some have grown tired of the official one who travels with his entourage and expects others to pick up the tab! Businesses are growing tired of him, and so too are many of his associates.

It's time to go!

6. Some would like the present chair to go quietly as they say his position is untenable, as it does not help, but retards the growth of the organisation. And they say, the sooner the resignation is tendered, the better.

Political stalemate

7. The political stalemate continues as the one considered damaged goods continues in the role; the one they would like to see replace him is said to be too timid to make a challenge; the other, who could be the spoiler, is said to be having that one moment in life where he's more than he thought he could ever be, so he's not even prepared to do anything to upset the applecart that brought him to town; and the other contender is waiting around hoping it will all be handed to him on a platter!
