Persad-Bissessar hints at cabinet reshuffle

PORT-OF-SPAIN (CMC):

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has hinted at reshuffling the cabinet of her People's Partnership coalition government as it approaches its first anniversary later this month.

"I had already said that by end of this first year, there will be a realignment of portfolios and I have been working on that and by the time we go into June, there will be a realignment of the portfolios," she told reporters.

The coalition celebrates its first anniversary on May 24, after it swept into office by a 29-12 margin after then Prime Minister Patrick Manning called the general election more than two years ahead of the constitutional deadline.
