'Anancy Chaptaz' shows to end Child Month

Child month will end with a fantastic bang on May 28 and 29 when Damion Radcliffe and the Independent Actors Movement stage Anancy Chaptaz - Di Beginnin, a children's theatre production that features children and adult actors.

Anancy Chaptaz - Di Beginnin is a 90-minute family and children's theatrical production that webs together storytelling, music, dance and acting to tell the exciting story of how Anancy stories came to be known as 'Anancy Stories'.

The cast includes a vibrant mix of child and adult actors, with choreography by Paula Shaw, musical composition by Winston 'Bello' Bell, and script and direction by Damion Radcliffe.

'Chapter one - Di Beginnin' will feature four performances in May 2011 at the Dennis Scott Theatre, School of Drama, Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, 1 Arthur Wint Drive, Kingston 5. Show times are Saturday, May 28, at 2:30 pm and 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 29, at 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
