Crab fest in paradise
Sheena Gayle, Gleaner Writer
From sweet and sour crab to curried spicy crab partying along the seaside on the beautiful Paradise Park property in Westmoreland, Busha's Crab Fest offered an excellent close to the month of May.
Not even the persistent rain could defuse the vibrant spirit at the annual food and social event as persons ate their crabs, danced and chatted with old friends as they enjoyed the ambience, great company and food.
Patrons did not mind partying to the thumping speakers that ignited a carnival-like atmosphere all in the name of charity as the hundreds who attended at $4,000 per person contributed to the Rotary Club of Savanna-la-Mar in the parish. Funds raised from Busha's Crab Fest will go directly to the club to assist with various charitable projects. Even the 'Eat Jamaican' campaign pioneer and Minister of Agriculture Christopher Tufton showed his appreciation for crabs when he attended the event.
