Zaheer, Sreesanth to miss series

NEW DELHI (AP):India's injured fast bowlers Zaheer Khan and Shanthaku-maran Sreesanth have been ruled out of a three-Test series against West Indies this month.

N. Srinivasan, an Indian cricket board official, said in a statement yesterday that Khan (right ankle) and Sreesanth (right elbow) will require time off for rehabilitation.

Abhimanyu Mithun and Praveen Kumar have been named as their replacements in the 16-man India squad for the Test series beginning on June 20 in Kingston, Jamaica.

India's top batsmen, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh have already opted out of the series.
