D-Day for Gayle?

The future of out-of-favour West Indies opener Chris Gayle could be decided today when he meets with members of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), and the West Indies management and coaching staff meet to iron out differences arising from a recent national radio interview.
The 31-year-old Gayle, during the interview, complained about a number of issues, including an indifferent attitude towards his recovery from injury by the WICB, the coaching methods of West Indies coach Ottis Gibson and the appointment of Darren Sammy as captain.
The WICB, on hearing the interview, subsequently released a number of documents on their website refuting a number of Gayle's claims, and took the decision to bar Gayle from representing the regional team until he met with the board.
"A meeting is scheduled for tomorrow (in Kingston) and we look forward to it," West Indies Players' Association (WIPA) President Dinanath Ramnarine said yesterday.
WICB president Dr Julian Hunte and chief executive officer, Ernest Hilaire, along with members of the West Indies and Indian teams, are slated to arrive in Jamaica today.The fifth and final match of the ODI series will be held at Sabina Park on Thursday.
