Fashionblock adds new element

The two weeks of high fashion which takes over the Jamaican scene would normally be over by now, but lovers of fashion get an extra treat tomorrow.

The rains came pouring down on May 29, making it dangerous for the models who were about to make their yearly trek into fashion history, the path taking them down a 150-foot catwalk.

The devastation of not being able to witness the spectacle was short-lived as tomorrow, the catwalk will be erected for the second time and, for the second time, designers like Indashio will parade their most inspired creations on models of the highest calibre.

SEIZED OPPORTUNITY

According to Saint International CEO Deiwght Peters, the creator of Fashionblock and Styleweek, which the event is part of, the postponement was not a disaster.

According to him, it has given the organisation a chance to improve on Fashionblock, and this it has done.

Part of Fashionblock will be a VVIP segment called 'Meet Me Behind The Runway' which runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

At that time, Fashionblock will get well and truly under way.
