BOISE, Idaho (AP):

An Idaho pilot suffered minor injuries when a twin-engine airplane carrying seven people on a skydiving trip crashed during take-off.

Police in Caldwell say the accident was reported at about 12:40 p.m. on Monday.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus says the plane crashed on take-off with its gear up, damaging the underside of the Cessna 402. Its propeller was destroyed during the crash.

Denise Janes with Sky Down Skydiving in Caldwell told The Associated Press that the pilot, who had cuts on his face that required stitches, was the only person who was injured in the crash.

Janes says the pilot's quick reaction kept the plane upright during the crash and likely prevented further injuries.
