Tifa goes high fashion for stylish new video

Dancehall Diva Tifa launches the video for her hot new track, Get Flat, tomorrow at Fiction Lounge and the fashionista said the stylish video is bound to turn heads and send her fans running to her favourite outlets.

With styling by Dexter Pottinger and Nicki Chin, the video is alive with colour, fine ensemble and dancehall chic. And it's not surprising! The Nuvo-endorsed artiste has for years displayed her penchant for flair and fine fashion.

"From I was little I always had a lot of clothes," said Tifa.

"My family was like a party family, and my mom was into fashion so if she bought something for herself in an Italian store, she bought the same thing for me as well in a smaller size," explained Tifa.

Tifa says this video is an extension of her fashion sense. So how can you get the look?

Sshhh botique a fav

Tifa said one of her favourite spots to shop locally is Sshhh Boutique.

"I like it because it's simple but edgy. If you don't want something that is not too extravagant but with a little edge, Sshhh Boutique is the place," said Tifa. "They also carry nice jewellery and headpieces - and headpieces are in now."

Another hip Kingston outlet is Alexxya in Mall Plaza, Half-Way Tree, and Unik on Constant Spring Road. Both offer nice pieces that transcend fashion boundaries and are suitable for a dancehall diva or an urban belle.

Apart from the high fashion, Get Flat also features cameos by Mr Lexxx, Fambo and Aisha Davis.

Tifa added that the video launch is going to be one big fashion party and she extended an invitation to her fans.

"The video launch is going to be great on Thursday. Of course, I'll be there. There'll be plenty of Nuvo, and I want all my fashion forward fans to come out and be a part of it," said Tifa.
