Plane crash kills pilot, injures passenger

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP)

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a single-engine airplane lost power and crashed in a field near Williston, killing the pilot and injuring the passenger.

The patrol says the plane went down Monday night about 20 miles east of Williston. The 53-year-old pilot was transported to a Williston hospital where he died of his injuries. The 55-year-old passenger also was taken to the hospital.

Their names have not been released.

Troopers say the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
