Daley stars for Jamaica

Jamaica's all-rounder Shanel Daley bagged an amazing eight wickets for seven runs as Jamaica overwhelmed Grenada by nine wickets in the WICB Regional Women's One-day Championship in Barbados yesterday.

Jamaica, who lost narrowly to Trinidad and Tobago in a first-round match on Monday, dismissed their rivals for 47 and lost just one wicket in reaching their target.

AT THE BREWERY: Barbados won by seven wickets. Dominica 73 off 27.3 overs (Keila Elliott 5-25, Shaquana Quintyne 4-23). Barbados 73 for three off 11.4 overs (Danielle Small 23; Pearl Etienne 2-20).

AT PINE BASIN: Jamaica won by nine wickets. Grenada 47 off 22.4 overs (Shanel Daley 7.4-3-7-8, Karla Cohen 2-8). Jamaica 48 for one off 14.1 overs (Stefanie Taylor 33 not out).

AT KENSINGTON OVAL: Trinidad & Tobago won by six wickets. Guyana 102 off 42.5 overs (Shermaine Campbell 30, June Ogle-Thomas 22; Anisa Mohammed 3-9, Alisa Mohammed 2-3, Gaitri Seetahal 2-16). Trinidad & Tobago 105 for four off 24.1 overs (Amanda Samaroo 36, Merissa Aguillera 23; Erva Giddings 2-17, Shermaine Campbell 2-29). Points: Trinidad & Tobago 4, Guyana 0.

AT DESMOND HAYNES OVAL: St Lucia won by 14 runs. St Lucia 98 for five off 35 overs (Verena Felicien 26 not out; Terisha Lava 2-13). St Vincent & Grenadines 84 off 26.5 overs (Juliano Nero 20; Swayline Williams 3-5, Phillipa Eudovic 2-17, Ashlene Edwards 2-17).
