The menu was mouth-watering: steamed, roasted and fried fish; curried, coconut curried, peppered and garlic shrimp; grilled and curried lobster; curried, steamed and roasted conch; boiled, curried and steamed sea crabs. There was also sweet and sour fish balls, mackerel run-dung; ackee and salt fish, fish soup, conch soup and other seafood dishes. For the non-seafood lovers there was jerked chicken and pork.

But whatever the preferred choice, patrons at the fifth annual Ocho Rios Seafood Festival held on Independence Day, August 6, in the resort town, seemed satisfied and appeared to have really enjoyed the items on the menu.

Main sponsor Digicel brought its Summer To Di World promotion to Ocho Rios and was pleased with the event. The Ocho Rios Seafood Festival is one of several food festivals sponsored by the telecommunications company. Other events include the Montego Bay Jerk Festival, Portland Jerk Festival, Little Ochie Seafood Festival and the St Thomas Food Festival, among others.
