Support for Hope Gardens concert series grows
Support for the free Jamaica Military Band concert series at Hope Gardens continues to grow.
The Nature Preservation Foundation (NPF), operators of the Hope Gardens and Hope Zoo, has announced that Governor General Sir Patrick Allen and Lady Allen have confirmed their attendance at the event to be held tomorrow at 4 p.m.
In addition, a number of government ministers and other local officials have been invited to attend, according to Robert Lalor, CEO of the NPF.
Since the relaunch of the free Jamaica Military Band concert at Hope Gardens in May this year, the number of patrons has grown substantially to about 600 last month.
The return of the free concert is part of NPF's new thrust to 'Bring Back the Hope' to Hope Gardens, which celebrates the restoration of one of the finest green areas in this part of the western hemisphere.
"The concert in July was a resounding success and we look forward to an even more outstanding concert this year," said Lalor.
He reminded patrons to take their own chairs and/or blankets as no seats would be provided.
