Madonna, the number-one-selling female artiste of all time, is partnering with Smirnoff as together, they seek to create an extraordinary once-in-a lifetime experience on the same night all over the globe, including Jamaica.

Called the Smirnoff Original Nightlife Exchange Project, the experience is to take place on November 12, 2011, and involves people on six continents and across 50 countries who will engage in the world's most original nightlife on one night.

In essence, it will be an unprecedented cross-cultural nightlife experience shared by millions of people.

Jamaica is among 18 countries that will be involved in the actual swapping of nightlife and will be joined by the United States, Great Britain, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Lebanon, Mexico, The Netherlands, Thailand, Turkey, Venezuela, and Vietnam. The exact swaps will be revealed on September 8.

Additionally, there are 32 countries participating, with market-specific activities. They are Belgium, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Cameroon, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kenya, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Serbia, Romania, South Africa, South Korea, Trinidad, and Uruguay.

The Smirnoff Original Nightlife Exchange Project was launched last year and was such a resounding success they decided to do it again, only on a larger scale. This year, Smirnoff is not only involving more countries, they are also bringing on more original talent and new and creative ways for fans to interact with fans.

There will be 18 experiences taking place on the same night all over the globe, with 32 additional countries celebrating simultaneously - triple the size of last year's project, and something never attempted before.

With the audacious goal of getting 10 million people to participate online and in person, the project will see the familiar Smirnoff formula of original entertainment, drinking experiences, and social interaction played out on a global scale in an unprecedented way.

Additionally, for the first time, Smirnoff will be holding a dance contest in conjunction with Madonna.

"Smirnoff mixes original nightlife from around the world and gives everyone the chance to be there through extraordinary, one-of-a-kind experiences. Who better to decide the best in the dance category than Madonna herself?" said Simon Burch, global brand director, Smirnoff.

Madonna is partnering with the Smirnoff Original Nightlife Exchange Project to find the best dancer in 50 countries to join her on her next tour. The submission process for the dance competition began on August 18 at a minute past midnight and runs until October 2.

Dance video

To enter, hopefuls must post a 60-second dance video to a specific Smirnoff-branded YouTube page. For Jamaica, dance-offs will be held in Kingston, Ocho Rios, and Montego Bay, and dancers will have a minute to show what they have. Madonna will help pick from all the video auditions the dancers she believes are the best of the best, and then attend a Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project experience where finalists will compete before of her for the winning spot.

As such, Smirnoff is inviting revellers worldwide to co-create and participate in the Nightlife Exchange Project 2011 by contributing ideas as to what makes their local nightlife unique in the categories of drinks, dance, fashion, music, places, and more. The most inspiring suggestions from each region will be captured online, with the best ideas exchanged with another country on November 12.

Through participating online, fans will have the chance to win a place at one of the global events, or experience another country's party at a Nightlife Exchange Project event in their own city.
