Today's racing takes place at Newmarket, Thirsk, Newcastle, Brighton and Hamilton in the North of England.

There is also simulcast racing from Finger Lakes and Saratoga in upstate New York.

News coming out of England is that SEA MOON is a 6-4 ante-post favourite for the Ladbrokes St Leger, which should have been run at Doncaster on August 23 but has been pushed back to September 10.

Seventeen entries have been received for the season's final classic over 14 furlongs, the race offering a total purse of £500,000.

SEA MOON, who is trained by Sir Michael Stoute, earned the market leader position following his stunning eight-length victory in he Group Two Great Voltigeur Stakes over 12 furlongs at York on August 17. That was his third win from only four career starts.

Today at Newmarket in the knotty-looking 10th race over one mile and seven furlongs, we like the look of the Mark Johnson-trained MISTER ANGRY (11-2), despite picking up a penalty for his recent win at Kempton. Fourteen have been declared.
