A job well done

Former Board director of FirstCaribbean International Bank, Peter McConnell, should comfortably go into retirement knowing that his 20 years serving the bank have been greatly appreciated.
Hosted at the Terra Nova All Suite Hotel two Thursdays ago, McConnell was the guest of honour at a farewell function, receiving good wishes from family, friends and associates. From those who paid official tributes to him, the most common attribute they found in him was dedication. According to them, he approached his job admirably.
When the spotlight turned on the man of the moment, McConnell, he wittily said he was perhaps the bank's first teller to become a director and that he could be used as an example for staff members. This, he said, after summarising his years at the bank and how he grew professionally and as a person. The bank, he said, is one that is dearest to his family as they have had a banking history with the institution, dating back many decades.
In a very intimate setting, guests engaged in light conversations and laughter, ensuring that Peter McConnell got a proper send-off, just the way he would like it. He also received a beautiful painting courtesy of FirstCaribbean International Bank.
