ONLINE FEEDBACK

Published:Tuesday | September 20, 2011 | 12:00 AM

Below are comments from readers on www.jamaica-gleaner.com to yesterday's story out of the People's National Party's annual conference 'Jeep full of jobs'.

Share your ideas with JLP

Mrs Portia Miller Simpson, if you say things are bad in Jamaica and you have ideas, why not share them with the Jamaica Labour Party and make it better for Jamaica now, and not in two or three years when things will get worse? Doing this will show the people how much you care and love them. What you are preaching now, we are used to it. Build a better Jamaica by coming together!

Staying out of jail

The JLP leaders spent the last three years just staying out of jail. They are too corrupt to produce anything meaningful. If Jamaica was a civilised country, many of them would be in prison today after the Dudus debacle.

PNP too

And the PNP spent 20 years trying to do the same. Kern Spencer still has not answered for his misdeeds and the PNP still has not told the Jamaican people where the money from Trafigura was really going, and why they allowed the company to break international laws.

Labourites will win

That will not keep the JLP from winning the next election because the PNP is the one that allowed Dudus and many more dons to flourish in Jamaica. It benefited them for years. He is not the biggest don. Ask the WikiLeaks about an MP that the USA, Canada and Britain has talked to the PNP leader about. And his contributions to the party, he is still there. Jamaica belongs to God, not the PNP, and He will direct this country. Some of you try to have short memories and the PNP has its 18 years of media friends, but the JLP is gonna win, even if the media houses are trying to swing the polls.

Decision at polls

Question: If unemployment is at 20 per cent, twice what it was in 2007, what is it attributed to? Let me guess. It's the Mannatt-Dudus enquiry. No. Ok, it's the invasion of the security forces into Tivoli Gardens. No. Ok, one more guess. Is it the lowered interest rate? No. I give up. Tell us, we need to know so that we can make informed, intelligent decisions at the polls.
