UK-born players in Boyz squad

Three United Kingdom-born players have been included in a 21-man Jamaica squad to face Honduras in a friendly on October 11 in La Ceiba, Honduras.

The UK-born players are 27-year-old midfielder Marvin Elliott who plays for English Championship team Bristol City, Marcus Bean, a 26 year-old midfielder who plies his trade for Brentford City in English League Two, and Nathan Smith, a 24-year-old defender who plays in the colours of Chesterfield in Football League One.

The squad also includes many of the players called by National Senior Coach 'Tappa' Whitmore for recent international friendlies against China, Ecuador and Colombia.

In preparation for the game, a training camp will be held here from Wednesday, October 5 to Sunday, October 9, when the squad departs Jamaica. This is the first time since March that a full Reggae Boyz squad will camp in Jamaica.
