Rain sends quartet into semi-finals

Title holders St Ann will entertain the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF), while St Catherine will play away to last year's beaten finalist Melbourne in next weekend's semi-finals of the Jamaica Cricket Association Captain's Bakery Limited Overs Championship.
The quartet, which will be vying for over $200,000 in prize money, booked their spots by virtue of winning their respective preliminary round zones after rain forced an abandonment of their quarter-final matches yesterday.
St Ann was down to face GC Foster College at Ultimate Cricket Ground, Kingston were scheduled to play away to Melbourne at Melbourne, the JDF were scheduled to entertain Kingston and St Andrew at Up Park Camp, while St Catherine and Westmoreland were slated to do battle at Chedwin Park.
However, the inclement weather that has been affecting the country, resulted in all the games being called off.
