Thursdaytalk

Where are the papers?

1. Concerns are mounting as some critical official files cannot be accounted for. This is causing a major headache for the smooth transition from the old administration to the next! It is being alleged that some files were moved to facilitate the new living arrangement, but when they were required recently for official business, they could not be found and are still unaccounted for!

Fixing roads

6. Roads that have been neglected for many years are now getting attention! Some are now convinced that the elections are sooner rather than later. For some, however, the flurry of road-mending activity is regarded as an insult.

Invites are out

3.The invitations are out for what is supposed to be the last official hurrah. Suffice it to say, though, that many are declining to attend as they do not want to be associated with the fallen one, who they regard as leaving under a cloud of disgrace!

Not on agenda

4. Whispers are so loud they are deafening, and the talk is all about the missing item on the agenda during the recent trip. And the whispers are that the unacknowledged item on the agenda was a stop for a briefing, and the briefing included the sharing of files and dossiers.

Petty time

5. Quote of the week: "The political ombudsman needs to pull up his petticoat!"

Getting the nod?

6.Some are saying we can expect another case of musical cheers in the next few weeks leading up to the elections! Those in the know are saying there are moves afoot to make sure the one who has expressed an interest does not get the party's nod!

Happy moments

7. While the PNP might be lamenting the impending departure of Prime Minister Bruce Golding from the helm of the JLP, not so for some in the JLP and with a timetable now established, the champagne corks have been popping as some Labourites toast his departure!
