LIME fetes its champion cricketers

National Super50 trial invitees Horace Miller and André McCarthy were among several member's of LIME's cricket team who were on Tuesday feted by the company at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel.


LIME, who will play the National Water Commission in the semi-finals of the Reggae Jammin Foods 50-over competition this weekend, have been the most successful Business House team over the past five years.

Their successes include several 50-over, 30-over and Twenty20 titles as evidenced last year when the team won 15 trophies and sectional prizes at the Business House cricket awards.

"It is good when as cricketers you hard work and dedication is recognised by your employer and a company like LIME," said Miller.

Along with McCarthy, Miller narrowly missed out on selection to the national team which departed the country on Monday for the West Indies Super50 Tournament.

Encouragement

Yannick Elliott, another member of the LIME team, was selected to the national team.

"It's good encouragement and the hope is that in seasons to come we will continue to win," he declared.

"This has been long in coming," said Garry Sinclair, LIME Jamaica's managing director. "These young men really epitomise success within the organisation and this function is just a small token of our appreciation."
