A wide variety of dishes were on show for all who attended Culture Day at Smith's Preparatory School, Job Lane, St Catherine.
The theme reflected the past and present culinary exploits of the school.
We saw mouth-watering dishes, such as mango takari, dahl, stewing hen (common fowl cooked with old nail) coconut run dung, curried chicken, roasted fish and a host of other delights.
Food was shown homemade ginger beer, lemonade, several types of pickles and sauces.
"I really like the stewing hen, it has a special taste and reminds me of my grandmother's cooking," noted guest Martin Daley.
It was a day where persons enjoyed the varied taste of the variety of dishes on display.
