Gimbilyn Restaurant

1 Like the gimbilyn plant which is so hard to find these days, and for which the restaurant is named, we serve Jamaican cuisine with a gourmet twist. We make every effort to use local produce, and try to incorporate as many local items as possible.

2 Our lush tropical gardens, surrounded by Spanish jars and an eclectic mix of collectibles from Jamaica and the world, makes our setting unique in Kingston. Our location has several intimate areas offering both indoor and al fresco dining.

3 All of our staff members are committed to excellence. We pride ourselves on offering personal service to guests and take pride in what we offer.

4 Gimbilyn is located on the premises of Alhambra Inn Hotel, and is owned and managed by Sonia Clarke and her husband Trevor. As we are a small team, we work together as a family, always discussing fresh new ideas for the growth of the property.

5 We have several chefs with diverse training who work together as a team to create fresh and unique fares on a regular basis.
