Hi-Lo Food Stores wants to keep the savings rolling in for you. For this year's Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week, the supermarket chain is transferring the savings that are usually found in participating Restaurant Week restaurants to your shopping cart.

During Restaurant Week, November 11 to 19, customers of Hi-Lo supermarkets who spend $2,500 plus tax in any of their 15 stores will receive 10 per cent discount when they hand over a special coupon.

"The primary means for the coupon will be through The Gleaner," said Laurel Clayton-Hall, marketing manager for Hi-Lo Food Stores, explaining that during the week of Restaurant Week customers can cut out a coupon from the newspaper that they can present once they've met the minimum purchase. Coupons will also be available at select participating Restaurant Week restaurants as well as at all Hi-Lo supermarkets.

The week of activities will culminate in Super Sunday, on November 20, where special activities will be focused at four of their stores - Portmore Pines, Barbican, Manor Park and Fair View. There will be in-store entertainment along with distributors and vendors who will be offering in-store samples of products, additional discounts on their products and banded offers.

Suppliers will include CB Chicken, CPJ, GraceKennedy, Lascelles, Magna, NM Marketing and Distribution, Red Stripe, T. Geddes Grant and Kirk Distributors.

On Super Sunday, Stewart's Auto Sales will display Honda Motorbikes at Hi-Lo Portmore Pines and Adam and Eve will offer massages at Hi-Lo Manor Park.

Discounts will also be available in other Hi-Lo stores islandwide on November 20.
