Champions Rusea's High marched into the quarter-finals of the 2011-12 ISSA/Gatorade/Digicel daCosta Cup schoolboy football competition with consummate ease yesterday afternoon, when they spanked Marcus Garvey 4-0 to complete their Group Two inter-zone fixture with maximum nine points.

In the game at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay, the dazzling 'Russians' scored through star striker Brian 'Rambo' Brown (two goals), skipper Nicodie Haughton and Keino Williams. Brown's two goals lifted his season tally to 31.

Among the other qualifiers were Frome Technical, who won Group One on goal difference after their 0-0 draw with Cedric Titus; Cedric Titus, who took one of the two spots for leading second-place finishers; Grange Hill, who won Group Three; Group Five winners Glenmuir High; and Group Six winners Paul Bogle High.

STETHS, aiming to add the daCosta Cup to their Ben Francis KO title, advanced on goal difference after battling to a 2-2 draw with Petersfield High. Both teams ended on five points.

However, all is not lost for Petersfield as they will meet Buff Bay High in a play-off tomorrow to decide who get the other spot reserved for second-place finishers.

Buff Bay earned their place in the play-off against Petersfield after they ended their Group Six fixture 0-0 against Paul Bogle, who topped the group on goal difference.
