From Taddy P's long awaited Gimme Di Bass album launch to the Ocean Style launch party and the Wise Women Club's cocktail party, Montego Bay hosted a busy weekend of activities that kept everyone entertained.

Internationally renowned bass guitarist and Montego Bay's own Taddy P hosted a star-studded event that saw Tanya Stephens, Chevaughn and Diana King all present to celebrate the launch of his sophomore album at Blue Beat by the Seas. Gimme Di Bass is a 13-track album that features Shaggy, Third World's Bunny Rugs, Maxi Priest, Chevaughn and Tanya Stephens, among several other artistes.

Caribbean fashion and lifestyle was on showcase on Friday as Ocean Style magazine hosted its launch at Sandals Cay Island in the Second City. Actor Rockmond Dunbar, who has now become a regular visitor to Jamaica, celebrated the Ocean Style three-day event with his mother who was visiting Jamaica for the first time. Internationally acclaimed fashion designer, actor and stylist Phillip Bloch could not miss this celebration of fashion as he came out to have a good time with friends.

It is not yet Christmas yet but the group of eight Wise Women is always in the mood of giving towards education. Despite several events being hosted on Saturday, the Wise Women Club successfully staged its fund-raising cocktails by the Sea event at Doctor's Cave Beach to raise funds for tuition for college students. Under the location's alluring ambience and with deliciously prepared food, scores of persons from the business community turned out to endorse the philanthropic effort that has seen over 25 college students benefiting from the scholarship programme since it began over five years ago.
