RW wrap-up
Bite Me
The numbers weren't outrageous. But I'm happy for the exposure. Because my meals are already so affordable, I ended up having to lose an additional 30 per cent, I'm practically giving away the food. But I hope that I have gained some new customers.
Boone Hall Oasis
For a few nights during the week we were not booked out. I believe that it is because of the distance, but we attracted a number of new persons who came and enjoyed the meal and the ambience. We even got one wedding from the promotion. The couple loved the location so much, they'd booked somewhere else but when they saw it, they cancelled and booked with us.
Gimbilyn
According to Food and Beverage Manager Karen Levy, this year's Restaurant Week was very good.
"We got very good numbers. Even though we had some new restaurants in our category, there were still persons who were inclined to come in and try us out."
Throughout the week, Gimbilyn had about 1,000 covers, which is lower than the approximately 1,800 it received last year, but it received some very good reviews from customers.
New Leaf Vegetarian
New Leaf Vegetarian was not just a newcomer to the line-up this year, it was also in the new category, Nyam and Scam. But according to Paul Shoucair, it was a very good week for the restaurant and a very good initiative, and he will definitely be back next year.
Pushpa's
It was very good. We had a lot of new customers plus our regular ones and they all enjoyed it. Overall, it was good and we will be in next year!
Dragon Garden
Not so good. It could have been better.
Chasers
According to Chasers owner George McLiesh, the week was excellent, though at times chaotic. He noted that there were instances when there were disappointments and hiccups, especially on the first two days, but they sorted it out. In the end, he said, he believes that at least 95 per cent of his customers were satisfied. He sees room for improvement in the future, but overall, it was just excellent.
