Goalie blamed for Santos defeat

Santos' coach Carlton 'Spanner' Dennis blamed goalkeeping errors for their 2-1 defeat to Rae Town in the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association Claro Super League football match at the Bell-Chung Stadium.
Demetrio Billett scored an early goal from Santos in the second minute, but
"Two mistakes by the goalkeeper cost us this match," said Dennis, who says this has left him with no other alternative but to call a meeting.
"The indiscipline and this breakdown of the team must stop, we have to look into ourselves and call a meeting to see how best we can overcome this," added Dennis.
After conceding early, Wayne Brown, coach of Rae Town, made an early change with his keeper because he was not going to risk this match.
They went on to get a few shots on target, but failed to score until Andre Williams netted at the 40th minute for his second goal of the season.
Rae Town started the second half impressive as they had Santos players running all over on the field.
It was no surprise when Omar Williams got his name on the scoresheet, in the 62nd minute. Afterwards, his team stepped up their play, but while they created some good chances, they failed to add to their tally.
"Santos had no chance of beating us because their players are mainly corner league footballers and this is a bigger league for them," said Brown.
He noted that even though Rae Town is a poor club, they are working towards success and he hopes to strengthen their squad soon as some players are out because of injury.
"The team is working hard and we won't lose any more matches because the players are getting good management, they are making progress and showing us that they need the wins. Even though we are a poor club we are going at it hard, I just hope to get the rest of my players out of injury and without the injuries we are going to beat Cavalier and everybody else," Brown promised.
