Promoted Montego Bay United took their fourth point of the season off seasoned campaigners Boys' Town when they held them to a 1-1 draw in the Red Stripe Premier League football match at Collie Smith Drive yesterday.

Montego Bay opened the scoring in the fifth minute when Leon Irving netted his second goal of the season, when he converted a penalty.

The Red Brigade pulled level 10 minutes later when Shane Edwards (16th) scored a rare goal.

Boys' Town, who came into the round in fifth position, were securing their fourth consecutive draw and moved up to 18 points.

Bitter disappointment

A despondent-looking Andrew Price, Boys' Town head coach, could not concede his disappointment at the sound of the final whistle.

"It is bitterly disappointing that we didn't come out here highly charged to actually take all three points," Price expressed.

"We are conceding goals and we are not scoring. We are doing enough to obtain draws, but we are not doing enough to get maximum three points, and that is where we are falling down," he added.

Montego Bay, who held Tivoli Gardens to 1-1 draw in their previous outing, picked up their fifth point in the last three games, but still find themselves second from bottom on 12 points.

Montego Bay's coach, Neider Dos Santos, was pleased with his team's overall performance.

"Generally, the performance was not bad, we missed some chances which, if we had scored, the match would have been easier," Dos Santos reasoned. "I'm satisfied that the performances we are displaying are consistent."
