Curtain coming down on hilarious 'Charlie's Angels' Final performance tomorrow
The production opened in mid-year (July) and has since had over 100 performances, with many persons coming in from as far away as rural Jamaica to be entertained by the energetic and very talented cast.
The plot revolves around Camille Davis who plays the leading antagonist - psychopath Shanika, who entraps Charlie Wood (Glen Campbell), hell-bent on making him pay for the romantic wrongs he has done to her. Poor Charlie finds out soon enough that she has invited an audience to witness his payback time. On the guest list is Charlie's dear wife, Keisha (Sharee McDonald-Russell), as well as another victim, in the person of go-go dancer Bubbles (Teisha Duncan).
Revenge
Shanika leads the pack, hell-bent on making the 'dawg' Charlie pay dearly. He is lured to her apartment and held hostage. However, as the action unfolds, Charlie's three angels - Shanika, Keisha and Bubbles - often find themselves at odds over how the notorious 'dawg' Charlie should get his comeuppance. Despite the obvious hurt these ladies suffered at the hands of player par excellence Charlie Wood, there are mixed emotions in arriving at a common verdict.
And as Charlie's Angels nears the finish line, everyone is encouraged to come get a dose of that medicine called laughter, which is so generously dispensed in this Patrick Brown-penned gem. The box office opens from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
