Daydreams Tropical Paradise, set for December 18, is promising to be a memorable affair, according to promoter Greg Wright.

Themed according to the season, the Daydreams all-inclusive parties hosted by Wright Image Entertainment, and sponsored by Smirnoff, usually aim to set the tone for parties of a similar nature that are becoming entrenched within the expanding Jamaican entertainment culture. This year promises to be no different. "Christmas is very special to us. We want to use it as an opportunity to wow our patrons. Our focus is on maximising the experience by pulling out all the stops," Wright said. "It will have a lasting impression."

He promised that the wow factor for this year's event will be huge.

Key 'wow' factors

One of the key 'wow' factors will be the venue. Over the last year or so, Hope Gardens has been the preferred venue for several major entertainment events including the recently held Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange, but, according to Wright, the area of the gardens that will be used for Daydreams will be an area that has never been used before. The set-up on Oasis Drive will also be unique, he asserts. "We are paying attention to every element - the venue, the music, the bar. The attention to detail will be so that we will have that lasting impression so that come 2012, people will know that Daydreams was the party to be at."

The music, too, promises to be special what with DJ Jazzy T being flown in from Miami along with DJ Khaled who will be packing special mixes and special dub-plates for the event. They will join forces with Richie D who will be playing in Jamaica for the very first time, and DJ Cruise, the hot, emerging disc jockey, who is managed by Wright Image. DJ Sanjay from Coppershot rounds off what is a stellar cast of disc jockeys that have been tapped to provide the entertainment.

Not to be overlooked is the food that will be available to patrons. The tropical, yet Christmas-inspired menu will be provided by Chins Catering and Murrays Catering, caterers, who Wright says, are among the very best, while Barcode will ensure that the drinks keep on flowing throughout the night.

Safia Cooper, brand manager of Smirnoff, is confident that Daydreams will fulfill its mandate to the party faithful. "As we look forward to yet another staging of Daydreams, we anticipate another truly original experience and one that will surpass all expectations. Smirnoff will, as usual, add its own elements to create an unforgettable party," she said.
