Dress for Success gets big bucks from Jamaica National; The Civil Aviation Authority celebrates 100 years, and help the Mustard Seed Communities feed 5,000 on Christmas Day and make a child happy by donating a toy to the drive now under way. Drop off a stuffed toy at any Island Grill restaurant islandwide.

Tuesdaytalk

Wedding bells

1. Yes, everyone knows we are in an election campaign season, but it seems we are also in the political wedding season. It started out west with a groom who could not wait to exchange vows that he literally flew from his hospital bed to the side of his bride. Lavish wedding ceremonies have continued, and this weekend another (rather quiet) ceremony will take place with three others lined up for the New Year.

Thanking Pappa Bruce

2. Not many people have recognised that the Manatt affair was actually a blessing to many. Apart from the rich material for political platforms - a number of spanking-new Manatt-inspired wheels are weaving in and out of city traffic. Then there are those who were mired in debt and now appear to be floating above water - they have Pappa Bruce to thank for enabling them.

Chief collector's job

3. The chief collector is someone described so often as a "two-foot puss" it's hard not to believe that monicker has some merit. So isn't it a case of rubbing butter in puss mouth to appoint him Keeper of the thread bag?

Time for legal eagles

4. Some important personnel changes are to take place that will satisfy the legal eagles who are not enamoured with the man at the top. But he will certainly have the last laugh for after all the footwork and manoeuvres, he will be sitting pretty on a rather prestigious perch.
