Mega Club YUSH promises more - Silverhawk returns to provide old-school fun
On the day after Christmas this year, the National Indoor Sports Centre will come alive with the sound of music; the sound of Mix Master Marvin, Renaissance Disco and the legendary Silverhawk Sound, that is.
Scott, PP and Quizz are at it again with another edition of the Mega Club YUSH!
The super trio never fails with the must-go throwback-style event. Since 2003 and a total of 23 YUSH parties later, it's safe to say their equation of '90s music and an all-inclusive fare has been perfected, and still they continue to top the last every time. For this, the 24th YUSH, Scott, PP and Quizz are bringing the original Silverhawk back on to the party scene. Younger YUSHers may not know how special this night will be.
In the 1990s, the popular Silverhawk sound was best known for its mixing style. The original Cassette Ninja (now known as CD Ninja) said "Renaissance was the leader of the mixtape industry but what was great about Silverhawk was their dubplate collection. They always had the best dubs. The most authentic dubs and cut different from the rest! Nobody couldn't match up." Silverhawk was founded in the late 1980s by the late musician/producer Wycliffe 'Steely' Johnson and went on to rule the dancehall and clash circuit in the early '90s.
Club YUSH is certainly not a clash arena but guaranteed Silverhawk's original dubs will get a full workout on December 26.
With Silverhawk's veteran DJ Richie Pooh at the helm, alongside '90s aficionado Mix Master Marvin and the do-no-wrong sound Renaissance with DJ Delano, party-goers had better prepare themselves for a night of non-stop vibes because, at the end of the day, that's what YUSH is really all about - the music.
Premium bar
The premium bar inclusive plus the VIP Upperdeck with buffet and top shelf liquors being poured (Grey Goose, Remy Martin, Dewar's and Patron) are an extra treat in the master mix, not to mention the massive, indoor, air-conditioned venue.
YUSH's slogan is 'No Long Talking' i.e., dancing the night away, and that's just what the group expects on December 26 inside the National Indoor Sports Centre.
