Popular Club event Vivid concluded its season at Club Privilege on Wednesday. A huge gathering of young people streamed into New Kingston to take part in the party celebration.

The Gleaner arrived at midnight, and promoters of the event, Ramona T. Sirju and Valon Thorpe, already had reason to smile because the venue was already half full.

Kamal Bankey was playing the sound system, and he did a good job of engaging the audience with disco and club music.

Patrons could be seen making their way to the bar while others stood bouncing their heads to the music.

Much of the songs were exclusive disco. However, the DJ managed to create a sense of familiarity by incorporating popular songs.

Some of the disco remixes that went down well with the crowd include Rihanna's Hard, featuring Young Jeezy, Sean Kingston's Dutty Love and Mavado's So Special.

While some patrons bounced to the music, others where fixated on their BlackBerrys.

The DJ then whisked up some party music, such as Party Rock by LMFAO.

At this point, the ladies began to get involved by singing out the lines of the song.

"Everybody just have a good time," they sang.

The DJ soon went for the double, laying another popular LMFAO song Sexy And I Know It. The ploy worked.

At minutes to 1 a.m., the DJ switched to hip hop, playing Jay-Z and Kanye West's Niggas In Paris, Racks by YC and Headlines performed by Canadian rapper, Drake.

Everybody seemed to be involved in the fun and the DJ heightened the level of response by mixing in some hardcore dancehall songs.

Mavado's Wine, Vybz Kartel's Tun Up The Scheme and Aidonia's Caribbean Girls were just some of the songs that helped the DJ achieve that goal.

The BlackBerrys were back in pockets and in purses.

At minutes after 2 a.m., The Gleaner left a scene where bars were being flooded, music was facilitating constant adrenaline and beautiful ladies were having a great time.

Vivid was held on three occasions this year, the first in August, the second in October and now the conclusion in December.
