Digicel Facebook fan meets I-Octane at shaggy and friends
One lucky Digicel Facebook fan got the treat of her life when she won an all-inclusive VIP experience to the Shaggy and Friends Charity Concert held on Saturday last on the lawns of Jamaica House.
Tudy-Ann Green, a full-time second-year law student at the University of Technology, was thrilled to find out she was the winner of two Gold tickets to the Shaggy and Friends Concert, courtesy of Digicel. Moreover, Green was even more excited about the opportunity to meet and hang out with reggae sensation and Digicel brand ambassador, I-Octane, at the show.
The mother of a four-year-old daughter spoke enthusiastically about being given an opportunity to support such a worthwhile cause (helping the Bustamante Hospital for Children) saying; "I have never won anything in my life before, so I was very happy when I won the competition on the Digicel Facebook page."
"I am also really thrilled that I got a chance to meet I-Octane, as his music represents a soothing and refreshing twist to modern-day reggae. I must also commend the Shaggy Foundation and Digicel for the wonderful work that they are doing with the Bustamante Children's Hospital. I have had to visit the hospital on more than one occasion with my child, so it was very humbling to be a part of this experience," said Green.
Meanwhile, reggae artiste I-Octane said it was a truly awesome experience for him to get a chance to meet and chill with one of his fans. "It's just an honour to meet and interact with someone who listens to your music and appreciates the talent and the work behind the music."
"I was very pleased to meet Ms Green and I will hold these memories very dear to me."
The competition, which was conducted on the Digicel Facebook page, challenged fans to say, in the most creative way, why they should win two Gold tickets to the Shaggy and Friends Charity Concert and a chance to meet Digicel brand ambassador, I-Octane
