Couples' delectable 34th year
Whenever Couples Resorts does anything, it does it big. So for the 34th anniversary of its flagship resort, Couples Tower Isle, nothing was spared.
Guests who turned up for the grand fare on January 14 entered an enchanted garden of gastronomic proportions. The Patio restaurant at the St Ann-based resort was completely transformed with white flowing sheer curtains and amazing beaded chandeliers.
Executive chef Umesh Meena and his team really did an amazing job. Asian Chef Mayuree Saipetch did a fantastic job with an Asian station that boasted amazing seafood dumplings and Thai green curried beef. A delectable Mediterranean station and, of course, a Jamaican station. The seafood station had all the goodies from the sea imaginable. Pastry chef Linval Green produced a great spread of delicious cupcakes and petit pois and a host of miniature delights.
