NCB takes it to the 'Pinnacle'

So as guests left the National Commercial Bank's Pinnacle Awards on Saturday, January 21, they kept wondering 'how are they going to top this next year'?
The Pinnacle Awards were originally geared to celebrate the retail banking sector of NCB's operations. But as the bank's performance improves, so seems the quality of the awards show. And this year seemed to have a special aura about it as the bank celebrates 175 years, Jamaica celebrates 50 independent years and NCB is coming off its best year (2011).
Held at the Wyndham Kingston Jamaica hotel, from the fancy decor (done by Joan and Dominique Davis) to the high-quality entertainment, there was nothing not to like. Especially when that entertainment involves singing superstar Regina Belle whose performance was truly a surprise. From start to finish, she was energetic and had the audience enraptured. Make It Like It Was, After The Love Has Lost Its Shine, and If I Could were all part of the repertoire. Her only regret was that "I feel like I could sing everything" but time would not allow.
But she wasn't the only superstar on show; the people came to see the awards and cheer on their colleagues for a job well done. Last year's awards dinner incorporated the Branch of the Year event into it. And this year, the NCB Insurance Company and NCB Capital Markets awards were also integrated bringing all the top performers of 2011 together for one big hurrah. Group Managing Director Patrick Hylton assured staff that they were not only the face of the organisation, they were the backbone of the operation and pledged that the bank would help them become what they were destined to be.
Among the winners were Janet Reid, Dwight Hyde, Dave Wilson, Tricia Moulton, Patrick Smith, Solomia Gayle, Christopher Hall, Ronald Ricketts, Nicola Richards, Marian Edwards, Asana Reid, Tracy-Ann Reboe, Melissa Aarons, Sheldon Smith, Dyan Robinson, Nicola Lindo, Mario Wong, Gracian Gordon, Makeisha Smith-Guy, Patria Coke, Charmaine Harris, Renae Burrell, Carleen Doiley, Audrey Stennett, Treacia Chalar and Glenroy Morgan.
