Today: Reggae Month Celeb-ration with Merritone at Waterfalls, Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts Conference on 'The Relevance of Popular Music Education in Jamaica'.
Friday, February 1: Trench Town Community Festival begins with an information fair at Vin Lawrence Park (10 a.m.-4 p.m.), Nyahbinghi Night (8 p.m.-1 a.m.).
Saturday, February 2: Trench Town Community Festival continues with a fun run/walk starting from Culture Yard at 5:30 a.m., Sports Day at Boys' Town from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., International Night, starring Stephen Marley, at Vin Lawrence Park from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Sunday, February 3: Trench Town Community Festival continues with a joint community church service at the Trench Town Multi-purpose Community Centre, starting at 9:30 a.m., Fun Day and Mini Mr and Mrs Trench Town Pageant 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Pepper Sunday, Vin Lawrence Park, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Reggae Month Ecumenical Service, University Chapel, UWI, Mona, noon. Peter Tosh's Creation and I For Jesus by Ernie Smith will be part of the programme.
Groundation: Sounds of Plantocracy, Institute of Jamaica, East Street, Kingston.
Bob Marley Birthday Concert, Emancipation Park, New King-ston, 4 p.m.-9 p.m., put on by the Bob Marley Foundation and Digicel.
After Dinner Sundayz, 5 p.m.-12 a.m., Tuff Gong International, 220 Marcus Garvey Drive. Music by: Zion Train Int'l. Dress Code: Red, green and gold or a Bob Marley T-shirt.
