Jabez is a hit in Portland

Dolphin Bay, Portland:International gospel artiste Jabez made a rare appearance at Bay View Eco-Villas and Spa, where he met and greeted many of his Portland fans up close at its poolside Thursday night.

The gospel star, whose real name is Clive Provost, also took pictures with dozens of his fans, who capitalised on the rare opportunity by turning out to meet the singer face to face for the very first time.

It was also a night when Jabez sang several of his popular songs, including A One Prayer Me Pray, Drinking From My Saucer, and Mi Know Say Mi Bless, under a moonlit sky, which complemented the ambience at the eco-friendly facility.

"It is my first time here," said Jabez.

"The food is great, and I am particularly impressed with the natural look of this villa facility. I really appreciate the fact that my Portland fans turned out to meet and to chat with me up close and personal. Even if it was only one person, I would still be happy, as God has truly blessed me."

The gospel artiste also took time out to present a portrait of himself to Gordon Townsend, owner of Bay View Eco-Villas and Spa, and thanked the staff for their hospitality.

Jabez, who was accompanied by his wife, is scheduled to tour London in April. In addition, he will also be visiting The Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Canada, and the Turks and Cacaos Islands during the first six months of this year.
